Marketing Specialist

Responsible for executing marketing activities and campaigns, supporting the Proline sales and business development team to grow the brand and achieve growth targets. Working to support the Global Marketing Director whilst working on targeted and measurable communications, digital marketing, social media and marketing activity. Reports to Business Development Director.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Define strategies and initiatives that drive Proline sales revenue, profitability and market share for our portfolio of products sold exclusively through CDW and CDW UK
  • Use Data, Analytics & Market Research to drive sales in CDW B2B Channels
  • Perform ongoing market research through market data analysis, customer contact, surveys, trade shows, sales data/evaluations and industry trends
  • Monitor competitors’ products internally and externally of CDW and conduct periodic analyses to ensure pricing is competitive in market
  • Identify opportunities to leverage successful SKUs/product families into new accounts
  • Work with marketing managers, product managers and designers to relate the voice of the customer as well as CDW Sellers to develop winning product strategies
  • Actively launch new products to the Proline sales team and CDW Sellers with monthly and quarterly New Product Launch meetings or other awareness events
  • Develop both hard copy and soft copy training materials for new product introductions for use by Sales
  • Act as lead person in the daily collaboration with, Product Management, Marketing, Finance, Operations and Sales teams to deliver on product pricing, positioning, placement, promotion and sell through
  • Energize the Proline sales force to execute category strategies, helping them to clearly explain our vision to CDW Sellers
  • Develop an understanding of all elements of our business (quality, supply chain, distribution, etc.) to create a competitive advantage in the CDW B2B Channels
  • Execution of marketing activity inline with global marketing strategy, agreed quarterly & yearly priorities and in line with company objectives
  • Campaign Management – Planning and implementing campaigns for Proline branding to end users and CDW Sellers
  • Channel Marketing & Communication
    • Development of CDW marketing campaigns
    • Engagement with channel to communicate brand campaigns, thought leadership and news
    • Working with CDW on joint campaigns and events
  • Monthly reporting to Global Marketing Director - Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications & campaigns
  • Develop and manage Proline’s CDW social media strategy and managing social media accounts
  • US trade show administration & logistics management – Full ownership tradeshows that CDW attends adhering to Event Management Process, supporting sales team requirements
  • Use email automation software & CRM to create compelling effective campaigns to drive inbound leads through sales funnel
  • Updating all CDW and Proline website/s content, digital campaigns and uploading CMS with latest event information, news and content
  • Support to global marketing & creative team
  • Work within CDW’s new Partner Portal to coordinate and schedule Floor Days at CDW offices nationwide
Skills / Attributes Required
  • Minimum 3 years marketing experience in a similar role
  • Channel marketing experience in IT distribution
  • Experience working with or for CDW
  • Knowledge of optical connectivity solutions
  • Experience in digital marketing, campaign management & activity measurement for ROI
  • Keen design eye and a logical mind-set
  • Enthusiastic, flexible, reliable and capable of working alone and as part of a team
  • Marketing related degree
